Taylor Swift in Toy Story 5? Cryptic 'TS' Billboards Spark Wild Fan Theories

Pixar Deflates Viral ‘Toy Story 5’ Fan Theory Involving Taylor Swift

Toy Story 5 director Andrew Stanton has officially addressed the widespread speculation linking pop superstar Taylor Swift to the upcoming Pixar sequel, confirming that the singer is not involved with the film despite intense fan theories.

The internet rumours emerged as anticipation continues to build ahead of the highly anticipated animated feature’s cinema release on June 19.

Interest intensified after a promotional billboard for the movie appeared to contain several hidden references that fans immediately associated with Swift.

The billboard prominently featured the initials TS alongside Andy’s iconic bedroom cloud wallpaper design and included exactly 13 clouds, a number famously associated with the Grammy-winning artist.

PIXAR FUELLED TIMELINE SPECULATION

Pixar further fuelled the ongoing online discussion by sharing a video of the character Jessie dancing on the billboard. The studio captioned the social media post with a lyric from Swift’s 2014 hit single Shake It Off, noting that she was making those moves up as she goes.

The speculation quickly spread across various social media platforms, with some fans confidently suggesting that Swift could be involved in the film’s official soundtrack or even perform a brand new song during the end credits.

However, Stanton has now firmly dismissed those theories. Speaking in an interview with Khoslaa, the veteran director admitted that the viral rumours caught the creative team completely off guard.

The director noted that the gossip surprised them, adding that the studio would be completely honoured to work with the singer.

SOUNDTRACK CONFIRMED COMPLETED WITHOUT POP STAR

Producer Lindsey Collins also commented on the rampant speculation, expressing enthusiasm about the concept despite confirming that the rumors were entirely untrue. Collins stated that it would be pretty amazing if the pop star were involved.

Stanton went on to explicitly clarify that Swift does not appear anywhere on the film’s final soundtrack.

The director explained that they watched the movie being mixed last week and that the project is entirely finished. He confirmed that the song playing over the end credits is not a Taylor Swift track.

The interview was released several days before Pixar shared the billboard-related social media content, leading some fans to believe the animation studio was simply acknowledging the humorous online discussion surrounding the initial rumour.

Toy Story 5 is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on June 19, marking the latest global instalment in Pixar’s long-running and incredibly lucrative animated franchise.
