LOS ANGELES — The Pitt star Sepideh Moafi has firmly shut down rampant internet rumors alleging an off-screen feud with her co-star Noah Wyle.
The actress addressed the fan speculation during a recent interview with Variety. She made it clear that there is absolutely no animosity between her and Wyle despite the intense professional clashes their characters experience on television.
Moafi described Wyle as a great colleague, explaining that the pair developed a strong working relationship that allows them to navigate emotionally heavy scenes with ease. She labeled the online rumors of personal friction as completely false.

The speculation began circulating across social media platforms after Moafi’s character, Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi, was introduced to the HBO Max medical drama. Her character stepped in as a temporary replacement for Wyle’s Dr. Robby while his character was on sabbatical.
The constant professional disagreements between the two doctors during the latter half of the season led some viewers to assume the workplace conflict extended behind the camera.
Moafi dismissed the idea that their personal relationship had any influence on the show’s scripts, joking that she does not possess the power to shape storylines in that manner. She revealed that between intense takes, she and Wyle were often laughing and joking together on set.
SEASON THREE RETURN CONFIRMED
The actress also used the opportunity to confirm her expected return for the third season of The Pitt. However, she admitted that specific details regarding her upcoming story arc and official episode count remain unclear at this stage of development.
Production on the third season is reportedly scheduled to begin later this summer.
The high-stakes drama has cultivated a passionate online following since its premiere in 2025. Moafi acknowledged the intense viewer engagement but noted that certain segments of the fandom can become toxic when unchecked rumors spread across the internet.
